LVEF for non-cardiologists and sonographers
We offer a teaching software for non cardiologist and sonographer who want to learn or improve their evaluation of LVEF in transthoracic echocardiography (TTE).
It is based on a 2 level program:
Level number 1 is an approximate evaluation of LVEF by the novice (learner) using a 6 segments model analysis with the 3 classical short axis (Base ,Mid and Apex (BMA)) and the three classical apical views (4 Chambers , 2 Chambers and 3 Chambers (4-2-3C))
Level number 2 is a 12 segments analysis for short axis (BMA ) and 12 segments for the apical views (423C).
This software was create to ameliorate the evaluation LV wall motion. To know the training formation required to technically perform TTE, please we refer to the ASE recommendations.
We suggest for the level 1 to do 30 examples of LVEF done in your lab and compared your result the to LVEF experienced physician evaluation. Same recommendation for level 2 (total of 60 differents studies)
You find references , more explanations and examples for the two level in our internet site.
